Servants of No Mastery
A Commedia delle Zanni

Enjoy this colorful Rennaissance romp performed by multi-talented actors from the D.C. area.
The Commedia dell’Arte began as a partly improvised street theater in 1500’s Italy. The servant characters were called “zanni” which is probably a corruption of Gianni or Giovanni. The outrageous manners and humor of the zanni gave birth to the modern term “zany comedy”.
Servants of No Mastery gives birth to hilarity! At any moment, the characters might break into a dance or a song. The actors are allowed to improvise parts of the show. Anything can happen, and it will! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
